This decision support tool is based on data from a multicentric retrospective study
evaluating predictors of occult lymph node metastases in early-stage oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC).
The study aims to refine recommendations for prophylactic neck dissection by integrating multiple histopathological
parameters, such as Depth of Invasion (DOI), Lymphovascular Invasion (LVI), Perineural Invasion (PNI), and Tumor Grading.
The predictive model was developed using a multivariable logistic regression model to account for relationships
between variables. This tool aims to help clinicians determine the probability of occult metastasis, guiding decisions
on elective neck dissection (END).
